The data shown here comes from your existing Crawl Insights server logs and Google Analytics AI Referral connection. Connect both sources to get the full picture of how AI interacts with your website and the traffic it drives.
My website uses data from integrations you connect elsewhere in Peec: a log source in Crawl insights for bot activity, and Google Analytics in AI referrals for session starts, conversions, and revenue. If only one is connected, metrics from the other will show as zero.Retrievals and citation data come directly from your tracked prompts, so no additional integration is needed.
Overview
The Overview tab gives you a quick snapshot of your website’s AI performance for the selected domain and date range. A row of headline metrics, each with its change against the previous period:- Bot visits: AI bot requests to your site in the selected period.
- Session starts: AI-referred human sessions that started in the selected period.
- Conversions: The number of key events fired by AI-referred visits. What counts as a key event depends on your GA4 setup.
- Revenue: Total revenue from completed transactions, minus any refunds. A value appears here if your GA4 property includes purchase revenue.
- Used as source: The share of tracked chats that retrieved at least one page from your domain.
- Cited, not mentioned: The number of answers that cited one of your pages as a source without naming your brand.
AI and human traffic
A trend chart comparing two lines over time: AI bot requests to your site, and the human sessions AI sends you. Switch the time resolution between hourly (on short date ranges), daily, weekly, and monthly to spot trends, spikes, or drops. Use it to see whether crawl activity and referral traffic move together. On the same chart, you can switch between citation rate and source usage to see how each metric changes over time.
Crawl access
A quick summary of how much of your site AI bots are allowed to visit, based on your robots.txt directives, split into:- Fully allowed
- Partially allowed
- Blocked
Why AI requests you
A breakdown of bot visits by bot type, showing the intent behind each request and its share of total bot visits. The Bot type indicates the purpose of the request:
- Training bots collect data to build or refine AI models.
- Search bots crawl the web and index pages to surface in AI search results.
- User query bots fetch content on behalf of a user.
- Other covers bots that don’t clearly fall into the above.
Request health
The HTTP status codes AI bots encountered when they requested your site. Use it to spot problems quickly, then follow All status through to the Crawl insights detail page to dig deeper. See the status code reference for what each code means.Pages
The Pages table is the heart of My website. It shows one row per page on your site, joining your Crawl insights data with your AI referrals and source usage by page path. You can search by path, sort by any column, and export the table to CSV.The table is a full join of bot, referral, and source data by page path. If a page has data on only one side, for example, bots visit it, but it hasn’t received AI referrals yet, the other metrics show as zero.
- Retrievals and Citation rate come from the prompts you track and are not directly influenced by AI bot activity.
- Citation rate is an average count of citations per chat, not a percentage, so it can be greater than 1.
- The Revenue column appears only when your Google Analytics property reports purchase revenue.
FAQs
What do I need to connect?
What do I need to connect?
My website combines two external data sources with your prompt data. Connect an edge/CDN log source or upload an access log file in Crawl insights for bot activity, and connect Google Analytics in AI referrals for sessions, conversions, and revenue. With only one connected, the columns from the other source show as zero.
How is this different from Crawl insights?
How is this different from Crawl insights?
Crawl insights focuses on AI bot activity from your edge logs, with folder- and URL-level breakdowns. My website joins that bot data with your AI-referred human traffic and your source performance on a single page, so you can connect crawlability to outcomes like sessions, conversions, and revenue.
Why does a page show bot visits but no sessions, or the reverse?
Why does a page show bot visits but no sessions, or the reverse?
The Pages table joins three independent data sources. A page can be requested by AI bots without having received AI-referred traffic yet, or receive referral traffic on a path that isn’t prominent in your crawl logs for that period. Either way, the missing metrics show as zero. It can also mean one of the two integrations isn’t connected yet.
Can I export the data?
Can I export the data?
Yes. Use the export button above the Pages table to download the current view as a CSV.
