Review sites in AI search — Yelp, G2, Trustpilot shape recommendations
Peec’s 30M-source analysis (Mar 2026) — Yelp, Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, G2 and Clutch all rank in the top 100 cited domains; when AI needs to recommend something, it reads review platforms.
Review platforms quietly shape AI recommendations. In Peec’s 30-million-source US analysis (full study, Mar 2026), Yelp ranks #7 among all cited domains, and the top 100 includes Tripadvisor, Trustpilot, G2, and Clutch — each serving a different category, from local and hospitality to B2C services and B2B software.
The pattern is consistent: when AI needs to recommend something, it looks at review platforms. A business listed on any of them likely has its profile influencing how AI talks about it — so that presence should be accurate, complete, and actively maintained.
