Reddit is the most-cited domain in LLM responses. In Peec's 30-million-source US analysis ([full study](https://peec.ai/blog/top-domains-cited-by-ai-search-analysis-based-on-30m-sources), Mar 2026), Reddit ranked #1 or #2 on every AI engine tested — ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, and AI Overviews.

Why AI engines trust it: Reddit captures authentic user experiences and discussions that read as more trustworthy than marketing content — real people asking real questions and getting real answers. Practical guidance from the study: monitor what Reddit says about your brand, and participate only authentically, adding real value.

Reddit's pull shows up beyond citations too (2026 data):

One diversification caveat from the study: both Google and ChatGPT have historically gone through periods of pulling back from Reddit, so brands with a Reddit-only community presence carry concentration risk.
