# AI Overviews by country — 76% in the EU, 90% outside, 0% in France

> Peec's 500,000-prompt study (Apr 2026) — AI Overviews shows in 76% of EU searches vs 90.3% outside the EU; US 91.4%, UK 91.7%, Germany 75.6%, and France 0% (no AI Overviews or AI Mode).

Google AI Overviews appears less often inside the European Union than outside it. In Peec's 500,000-prompt study (April 13–20, 2026, [full study](https://peec.ai/blog/ai-overviews-is-the-most-undertracked-ai-search-500-000-prompts-show-why)), AI Overviews showed in **76% of EU searches** versus **90.3% outside the EU**.

Breakdown across major markets (April 2026):

* **US:** 91.4%
* **UK:** 91.7%
* **Australia:** 86.5%
* **Poland:** 82.9%
* **Germany:** 75.6%
* **France:** 0% — the only major market where neither AI Overviews nor AI Mode is served.

Keep the gap in proportion: at 76%, AI Overviews still appears in more than three of every four EU searches, so the study's conclusion is that AI Overviews has reached maturity in almost every market (76–91%) and deserves tracking everywhere except France.
